It's my first time doing a flag day for full shift and time sped past without mercy.
Maybe it's because I'm skiving for this one.

The day started with me carriyng the tables and setting up the station together with Lion CK and of course lovely NP students who came early;) Once they've signed in, we brief some basics and they're off=)

Qian Xiu also came and questioned me about the keys. I told her frankly that its not with me and i do not who has it. She became worried and the bug passed to me but I tried to reassure her. Started to contact others who were with me ytd but it seems like a trip back to clubhouse was needed.

SIM was bustling with activites and I wanted to join the bazaar and have my fortune read. I first went to the clubhse to find the keys left at the key hole. My bad...irresponsible X.X and this caused me to disturb others and my ez-link went broke...I spent more $$ at SIM popular as they were having sale of sorts;) By the time I paid, there was no time left for the bazaar and I made my way back to the collection centre with a pretty light tin.

First shifts ends and second shift starts;)

They only started to come at 1pm. Attendance for this flag day was poor but it may be due to the lack of "freshness" compared to a street sales for yellow ribbon etc. The day was interesting for Qian Xiu as she unravel more incidences other than the elderly who rambled to us about how impt. our roots are and to be proud of it.

I went out once more to solicit donations. Window shopped here and there since I've not been to Chinatown for some time. Soaking in the sights and sounds, feeling some heritage and all the tourism-related activities/products.

Back at the centre, I started to hear Dianna, current president of Lion Somerset about all the interesting events she held to help bring in fresh ideas for our board. Such as a comm-service event past midnight, chocolate facial which brought about so much hype in an elderly home, using scents and colours to test the elderly, how she donates soaps etc when she travels overseas...etc..etc Some of this lil' actions are really meaningful;) I am consciously allowing her to influence me;)

I got to know more about some of their professions and gain new insights;) A fruitful day indeed!
